Frederick Winslow Taylor

Frederick Winslow Taylor is considered the father of scientific management. Taylor was the first to suggest that work people performed deserved systematic observation and study. From this he developed the Scientific Management approach to business toward the end of the 19th century. His new ideas laid the foundation for 20th century management thinkers such as Peter Drucker, Frank Gilbreth and James McKinsey.
